Women's Empowerment

Advocating for the economic independence, social dignity, and spiritual growth of women in Zimbabwe.

"Empowerment is not just about giving a woman a voice; it is about ensuring she has the economic resources to sustain that voice. When we teach a woman business, we feed a village."

— Cathrine James

My Advocacy Mission

As a Zimbabwean woman in business, I believe that true empowerment sits at the intersection of Faith, Finance, and Family.

My work goes beyond motivational speaking. I am dedicated to building systems and platforms that enable women to rise from vulnerable situations to positions of leadership. Whether through my work with Sona Solar Zimbabwe or community outreach in Harare, my goal is to equip women with the tools to build their own legacies.

Key Areas of Focus

Financial dependency is the root of many social struggles for women. Cathrine James advocates for entrepreneurship as a path to freedom.

Leveraging her expertise in marketing and retail, she mentors women on:

  • Starting and scaling sustainable "Hyper-shops" and retail ventures.
  • Financial literacy for single mothers.
  • Moving from informal trading to structured business models.

The future of Zimbabwe relies on the safety of its girls. Cathrine is a vocal advocate against teenage pregnancy and child marriage.

Through community dialogues and school visits, she works to keep girls in school, ensuring they have the education required to make informed choices about their bodies and their futures.

Having worked closely with communities in Harare, Cathrine understands the unique pressures faced by single mothers.

Her advocacy focuses on removing the stigma associated with single parenthood and replacing it with support networks, job training, and spiritual encouragement to build resilient families.

True empowerment is also spiritual. As a worship leader, Cathrine encourages women to find their identity in faith.

She teaches that a woman’s worth is not defined by her marital status or economic standing, but by her purpose. Her mentorship includes "Faith in the Marketplace"—how to lead with integrity in a cutthroat business world.
